Voice of Vietnamese Americans is seeking energetic individuals to volunteer in our Virginia community organizing campaign. (updated) We have knocked on over 1,000 doors and reached over 2,000 Virginia residents. Join our team: 4 Days until Virginia State Elections! We will be providing voter education information to historically disenfranchised groups, such as Vietnamese Americans and other minority groups, in Northern Virginia. Tasks consist of canvassing (knocking on doors) and phone calling in the NoVA area. This is a temporary position through Election Day in November, and it offers a solid experience in promoting civic engagement and democracy in action. Volunteer shifts are available starting immediately. Please contact Vel Hernandez at veleh1025@gmail.com. Volunteers choose at least one, or all, of the following shifts: Friday, Nov 4: 2:30pm-7:30pm Saturday, Nov 5: 10:30am-3:30pm Sunday, Nov 6: 1:00pm-6:00pm Monday, Nov 7: 11:00am-4:00pm Tuesday, Nov 8: 10:30am-3:30pm Volunteers must have reliable transportation, via Metro rail or have a car. The shift (five hours) must be completed in entirety. No experience is necessary. We will train you. Join our campaign team today!
