September 25, 2013 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Tonia Bui, Hung Nguyen at League of Women Voters Sully District Forum FAIRFAX, VA – Hung Nguyen, Virginia House of Delegates – District 67 candidate, along with other candidates of the 67th, 36th, 37th, 40th and 86th Districts, will participate in a forum hosted by the League of Women Voters of the Fairfax Area today at 7:30pm. The event is taking place at Sully District Governmental Center in Chantilly. The forum is open to members of the public. The 67th House District includes parts of Chantilly, Fairfax, Herndon and South Riding. More than 13,000 women in District 67 turned out to vote in the 2012 general election. Last year, President Barack Obama and U.S. Senator Tim Kaine won the district by 8 percent and 10 percent respectively. When elected, Nguyen will be the first Vietnamese American to serve in a state legislature of the East Coast. About the Candidate: Hung is a small business owner and certified project manager. He is committed to giving back to the community and strongly supports public service. He previously served as a board member of several local, national, and international non-profits. Hung’s political appointments include the Fairfax County Consumer Protection Commission (2004), The Virginia Asian Advisory Board (2005), and the Governor’s Commission for National and Community Service (2006).
