MALTA, NY (PRWEB) JULY 29, 2016 Amy Knussman, family attorney and Ballston Lake resident, is pleased to officially announce her candidacy for Family Court Judge in Saratoga County. A current partner at Donnellan and Knussman, PLLC , Mrs. Knussman has devoted her 13 year career to representing clients in family and matrimonial related matters as well as helping hundreds of children in court as an Attorney for the Child. Her relevant experience coupled with her innate ability to be fair, honest and decisive, make her the ideal candidate to replace the Honorable Courtenay W. Hall when he retires later this summer. “Throughout my thirteen years as an Attorney for the Child, I have come to recognize the critical role a Family Court Judge plays in the lives of children and families in crisis,” said Amy Knussman. “When a Judge is able to put the needs of the child first, the judicial system is able to provide a strong framework for families and help ensure that the child will have the support they need to grow. I believe that my experience in this area of law will help me create a strong foundation for our future Saratoga County leaders.” A graduate of Albany Law School, Amy Knussman has deep ties to the local community, having resided in Saratoga County for the past 18 years. She has not only contributed to the economy as a successful business owner, but volunteers her time to make the community a better place as well. Heavily involved on several boards and teams, including the Chango Elementary School Safety Team and the Chango Elementary School PTA, Mrs. Knussman is also a member of the Saratoga County Bar Association, Adirondack Women’s Bar Association, New York State Bar Association and Collaborative Divorce Association of the Capital District. She is also the 2012 recipient of the Legal Project’s Brigid Nolan Memorial Award, which recognizes dedication and pro-bono service provided to victims of domestic violence. Mrs. Knussman resides in Ballston Lake with her husband, two children and two dogs.
